Fulham manager Álvaro Arbeloa accused match officials of favouring Manchester United following his side’s 1-1 draw at Craven Cottage.

United rescued a point when Matheus Cunha scored an 89th-minute equaliser, and Arbeloa criticised the refereeing decision immediately before the goal.

Speaking to Sky Sports after the match, the Fulham manager said he believed decisions had consistently gone United’s way.

“Every decision was for them.”

Arbeloa then linked his criticism to the refereeing controversy surrounding Manchester United’s defeat to Manchester City the previous weekend.

He said that following what happened in the derby, he believed officials would not “let Manchester United lose here”.

The comments followed a match in which Fulham had taken the lead before Cunha’s late strike earned United a point.

Arbeloa’s complaints centred on the officiating in the build-up to the equaliser and his belief that Fulham had been disadvantaged by decisions during the game.

The draw left Manchester United with five points from their opening five Premier League matches.
