Marcus Rashford will need to be assessed after picking up a fitness issue during Manchester United’s 1-1 draw with Fulham at Craven Cottage.
Rashford started the Premier League fixture but was replaced by Joshua Zirkzee in the 77th minute.
Michael Carrick confirmed after the match that the substitution was prompted by a physical problem.
“He had a bit of an issue.”
United will now assess Rashford before determining the nature and severity of the problem.
The timing is significant because Rashford has been selected for England’s upcoming Nations League fixtures and is due to join the national-team squad during the international break.
Rashford has started four of United’s opening five Premier League matches this season.
Any absence would further reduce Carrick’s attacking options, with Benjamin Šeško already facing assessment after experiencing further pain in the shin that previously caused him problems.
Rashford had also recently returned from a minor fitness problem earlier this month.
United now have three weeks before their next Premier League fixture against Tottenham at Old Trafford on 10 October.
