Manchester United are reportedly monitoring Borussia Dortmund striker Serhou Guirassy as the club assesses its attacking options ahead of the January transfer window.
TEAMtalk reports that United’s scouting department is keeping tabs on the 30-year-old as a potential experienced addition to Michael Carrick’s squad.
There is currently no indication that United have decided to make a move for Guirassy or that an approach has been made to Dortmund.
The report says United are considering their options partly because Joshua Zirkzee could leave the club, potentially creating space for another centre-forward.
Benjamin Šeško remains firmly part of United’s plans, meaning any interest in Guirassy would be about strengthening the options around the Slovenian rather than replacing him.
Guirassy would offer considerably more experience than many of United’s recent attacking signings.
The Guinea international has been prolific since joining Borussia Dortmund, reaching 64 goals in his first 100 competitive appearances for the German club.
That record includes 19 goals in the Champions League.
Guirassy has also started the 2026/27 campaign strongly, scoring twice against Villarreal in Dortmund’s opening Champions League fixture.
United currently have limited natural centre-forward depth behind Šeško, making the position one to watch as the January window approaches.
For now, however, the reported interest remains at the monitoring stage, with no decision made on whether United will attempt to sign Guirassy.
