Manchester United have attempted more shots than any other Premier League team through the opening four matches of the season.
United have registered 84 attempts, their highest total after four games since Opta’s Premier League records began in 2003-04.
Those shots have produced 8.3 expected goals, with only Brighton recording a higher xG total at 10.2.
Despite the attacking numbers, Michael Carrick’s side have collected four points from their opening four matches.
That equals United’s lowest points total at this stage of a Premier League season. They also had four points after four games in 1992-93 and 2025-26.
United recovered from the slow start in 1992-93 to win the Premier League title. Last season, they recovered to finish third.
Carrick’s side now travel to Fulham looking to turn their attacking output into more points.
United have lost just one of their last 21 Premier League matches against Fulham, while Fulham’s most recent league victory over United at Craven Cottage came in 2009.
